About the Council
The LGBTQIA+ Advisory Council is dedicated to amplifying the voices of LGBTQIA+ individuals within the Eagle Pass and Maverick County area. We seek community members who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and those from other identities on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. The goal of the council is to address issues faced by the community, assess needs, and work toward creating a more inclusive and supportive environment.
As part of the council, your informed voice will be essential in gathering vital information to help us craft personalized content and initiatives that reach and resonate with unseen or underrepresented audiences in the community. Your insights will help us better understand and meet the needs of all individuals, including those who may not feel comfortable being visible in the public sphere.
